Rev. Lee Brown Jr.. was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to the Rev. Lee and the late Bessie Brown. He is the eldest of three children. His early schooling was completed in Tennessee prior to serving as sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. Lee is the father of three children by a previous marriage. His is presently married to Ollie Webb Brown. Academic Achievement Lee completed his high school training in Detroit. He went back to school later in life on a part‑time basis, receiving his Bachelor's Degree from Wayne State University; Master of Arts Degree in Religious Studies from the University of Detroit in 1985. He has completed all of the course work, required for his Master of Arts Degree in religious Education from Ashland University. Employment Lee was employed in 1954‑62 as clerk for the Detroit Postal Service. He started with the Detroit Board of Education as a Custodian in 1962 in the Detroit Public Schools. Lee progressed from a Custodian to Housekeeping Supervisor, later to Housekeeping Superintendent. He was recently promoted to Physical Plant Manager of Area D. Training Programs Lee has participated as a sponsor of Junior High Training Program, supervising high school boys on jobs in the Detroit Public Schools. In conjunction with the staff of Management Academy, he has planned and executed workshops for custodians. Church Service
