Katrina Relief  - We were happy to announce that our ‘adopted’ Cyprian family, that evacuated from Louisiana, has found and moved into a rental house on Westbrook in NW Detroit. To date, the church has donated $4,700 toward the financial assistance of $5,000 we pledged to provide for this family. In addition, the Cyprian’s were able to get some furniture from an organization in Pontiac, while Plymouth church has been able to secure major appliances through generous donations of a stove and refrigerator, plus a kitchen table, dining room set, dressers, lamps and a television.

At this point, Eric Cyprian has a job in a retail store and Rita has a lead on a job as a cook at a restaurant in Southfield. The future is finally beginning to look brighter for this family! The committee sincerely thanks the members and friends of Plymouth for your generosity in making this happen.

When they are settled in, Rita Cyprian will provide a list of small household items needed to the liaison committee, which we will publish in the bulletin. Church organizations and/or individuals can arrange, through the liaison persons, to address these needs. The committee family liaisons are Bob Johnson 248/888-0949; David Northcross 313/863-8251; and Claire Neal 313/823-8678.
